Brand Design for Furey Consulting

It's time to get a new brand reveal out into the world!

Carole-Anne Furey and I first met when we worked together over 20 years ago at the same advertising agency—she in the finance department and I on the creative team. Over the years we lost track of each other until we reunited through a mutual friend at a local networking event, both of us now out of "corporate" and running our own businesses. (Never underestimate the value of long-term relationships!)

Soon after that meetup, I hired Carole-Anne to clean up my finances which quickly turned into fully handing her the reins to all my bookkeeping. She's been a godsend, freeing up my time to get out of my own financial weeds and giving me much-needed peace of mind, knowing that everything is being done right because I'm not mucking things up anymore!

As her business grew, she was finally ready to step up her branding and create a simple, functional website that reflected her incredible organizational skills and top-notch support. Come with me behind the scenes for this newest brand reveal.

1 | Brand Strategy

Carole-Anne brings a beautiful blend of strategy and practicality to finance. Her 20+ years of corporate management experience mean she's seen it all, and she can make sense of any business's financial chaos. She's a firm believer that the more you understand your numbers, the more confident you'll be in making decisions, avoiding unpleasant surprises, and planning for your future growth.

With this in mind, our big idea for Furey Consulting's brand strategy is "Organized to Excel." This also gives us a light-hearted play on words with "excel" relating to both the growth and software that make the growth possible. Her keywords are supportive, comprehensive, calm. Our primary colors are muted shades of green which always carry the color psychology of wealth and health, rounded out with tan and soft blue that are soothing and stable.

2 | Logo Design

We kept the font for Furey Consulting clean and simple, adding a subtle twist by stylizing her "E" a bit like a reversed number "3" in a nod to her financial expertise. Her icon is a blend of her initial "F" to highlight the supportive partnership between herself and her clients and their teams. It also looks a bit like a filing cabinet because organization is the first step with all her clients.

3 | Brand Board

For flexibility and variety, I also created a vertical logo format. Her favicon and watermark are a simplified ligature of the double F's from her logo. Specific fonts, colors, and stock photos make it easy to stay consistent with her brand and build recognition as her business continues to grow.

4 | COLLATERAL & SOCIAL MEDIA

Currently, Carole-Anne engages minimally on social media, relying more on in-person connections. We created new business cards for these events and updated her LinkedIn banner. She has new social templates to use when she's ready to expand into more online networking. Even if she's relatively quiet online, having a cohesive presence helps her look like the professional she is and establishes credibility for new potential clients. As always, her new social banners and templates are all in Canva for easy updates and publishing.

5 | WEBSITE

Having a detailed Brand Style Guide and organized assets enabled Stellar Theory to create a clean, functional website that can easily be updated and expanded as needed. She incorporated much of the language from her Brand Strategy Guide into the website copy, and a couple of new headshots by Dana Pugh were the finishing touch. She finally has an online home that she's proud to send potential clients to.

"Impressions are everything, and branding with Michelle finally reflects my value and confidence to my clients!

I've known Michelle for many years and appreciate her keen eye for design and ability to communicate your personality and style. Her process is seamless and easy, with clearly defined steps and deadlines. It didn't take much of my time which meant I could run my business and trust her and her team with the finished product.

I now have even more confidence and a professional website that brings in more perfect-fit clients who truly benefit from my services. I couldn't have done this so quickly or competently on my own. Thanks, Michelle!"
