Brand Design for True Grace

Welcome to our most recent brand reveal for Mary Ellen McGuigan—a Spiritual Director, Wellness Coach, and Owner of True Grace. She first attended my Branding Workshop last fall and the rest, as they say, is history. It has been such a joy helping her bring this newest business to life, and I can't wait for you to see what we've been up to.

I also can't wait for you to see what it's like to work with an incredible team of creative women for these Signature PLUS+ Brand Packages. Mary Ellen's messaging was written by Jacq Fisch, web design by Ayesha Santos, and brand photography by Tamara Hanley.

Join me for a behind-the-scenes tour, or jump straight to the True Grace website to see what a fantastic collaboration looks like. The result is always more powerful when everyone is working in their zone of genius!

1 | Brand Strategy

With 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Mary Ellen knows the importance of holistic health—not just your body, but also your mind, spirit, and soul. As a spiritual director and health coach, she works with truth seekers of all faiths looking to find their way on the spiritual path. She's especially attuned to supporting those recovering from an addiction, disability, or facing life-threatening illness.

With this in mind, our strategy keywords for True Grace are sacred, whole, and joyful. The color psychology of peony is warmth and action, thistle is spiritual and wisdom, and sage is health and restoration. Her color palette is fun yet soothing, a perfect reflection of Mary Ellen and the safe space she creates for her clients.

True Grace – Brand Strategy for restorative Brand Design in peony, thistle, sage. A grounded, warm brand design for spiritual director True Grace, capturing keywords of sacred, whole, joyful. With gentle humor, she helps clients find divine direction for healing and growth. Soothing colors and holistic design. Brand Design by Let Her Fly, Michelle Clayton

2 | Logo Design

From the beginning, we knew that butterflies would figure prominently in our logo because they're the perfect imagery for transformation, life, and joy—everything that's important at True Grace. Our icon has a fun blend of smooth and imperfect shapes and lots of color. A playful font rounds out her logo mark with circular shapes that work beautifully with her custom illustration.

3 | Brand Board

By modifying and simplifying the butterfly icon, I created a complementary button/favicon and pattern that bring even more interest to the overall brand. Pulling out one row of the pattern gives us a ribbon to use when the whole pattern would be too much. These elements provide a variety of marks for flexibility and consistency that will last Mary Ellen for years to come.

4 | Collateral & Social Media

Having new, branded photography from Tamara makes all the difference when designing for clients. Her images aligned beautifully with our brand strategy and gave us so much content to work with when designing the marketing collateral and website.

A lot of Mary Ellen's work is done in person, so I created an info card that functions like an extra large business card and gives readers an overview of her and her work. Her new letterhead, social banners, and templates are all in Canva for easy updates and posting.

5 | Website

As a web designer and developer, Ayesha did an incredible job uniting Jacq's copywriting, Tamara's photography, and my visual brand into a one-of-a-kind Squarespace website. Not only does it look amazing, but it’s easy to navigate and fully integrated with her newsletter and appointment scheduler.

The new brand for True Grace is a beautiful example of my Signature PLUS+ Brand Package which includes all the elements you need to proudly launch a new business, just like Mary Ellen did. You can read more about her story or follow her on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

How does Mary Ellen feel about the final result?

“Michelle is extremely patient and conscientious, and her creative vision and ability to “get me” made working together a wonderful experience.

When I found her website, I got such a clear sense of her work and knew she was the right fit for me. Even though she specializes in rebranding, she’s equally great for businesses starting from scratch.

I'm getting rave reviews on my logo and website and feel so confident and excited about my new endeavor. Not only do I love my new branding, but I've also made a true friend in the process.
